We supply a full range and spec of safety boots, shoes and gumboots across several brands. Selecting the appropriate footwear for your intended use is vitally important as details like the composition of the sole are directly related to specific working conditions. If you’re unsure of what you require please consult our sales team who can advise you on the most appropriate footwear solution for you and your workforce.
- WATER Rubber / leather footwear is designed to be water-resistant, not waterproof. In areas where there is constant exposure to water, employees should wear gumboots, not leather footwear.
- OIL Rubber footwear is highly oil resistant, although life of footwear will be prolonged if excess oil is removed from the surface of the leather
- ACIDS Rubber exhibits good resistance to a broad spectrum of acids, provided that they are reasonably diluted. Concentrated Hydrochloric, Sulphuric and Nitric acids will erode metal, therefore Nitrile Rubber cannot endure prolonged contact with them.
- HEAT Fuel rubber footwear is resistant to temperatures up to 300 degrees Celsius. Specialised heat resistant footwear is required for environments exceeding 90 degrees Celsius.
